YCDN had the working experience to implement the rural development project through Water and Sanitation activities in Rathedaung township, Rakhine state in 2016 by partnership with Child’s Dream foundation ( Donor ) ( alumni project of NEED Myanmar). YCDN launched the activities in the practice of agro-ecology system under sustainable agriculture, promote the capacity of young farmers from multiple ethnic groups through diversified crop production, mushroom cultivation, home gardening and kitchen gardening, traditional chicken farming in Hmawbi, Yangon (moved to Rakhine in 2018) and Sittwe, Rakhine state, 2018- 2019, Funded by (Child’s Dream foundation as Alumni project).
YCDN has 356 local volunteers who based in 14 townships, Rakhine state who have experience to work in the community with the projects, 425 paid staff (technical staff and support team members ( Finance, HR, Admin, Logistic, Casher ), and ( 7 Board of directors, 1 International Advisor and 2 National Advisors.)
At the heart of all YCDN activities are youth including women empowerment and community development, which it believes to be a crucial pillar to support fair, inclusive and sustainable development in Rakhine State.
